Northern Domestic Violence Service (NDVS) is a community based, not for profit organisation providing support and assistance to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence. They had a very basic, not very functional website and wanted to take it to the next level.
With the help and feedback of internal staff, we’ve put together a comprehensive online business with email marketing tools, user database and a blog system all seamlessly integrated.
Prior to the launching date, we run an 1h training session for the staff. Seeing the people going from not being very comfortable with technology to be able to manage their own content online in such a short time was very rewarding. There were obviously questions here and there, as there always is, but again it was great to see they fixing their content themselves, not needing to keep calling for IT people or web guys to help each time they need anything.
It’s power back to their hands.

The previous version is also available here.
The improved CMS has new features too: users may add a testimonial, which is hidden from the public until the gallery director approves it. You can also share the content in many ways, send to a friend, tweet it, “like” in Facebook, and so on.
